Jan Saverys & Art Abstrait
Until 12th March 2016, Gallery Callewaert – Van Langendonck, which focuses on modernism and constructivism, exhibits work from Jan Saverys (born 1924) and the group Art Abstrait. Saverys, who was part of the 50s and 60s abstract avant-garde and co-founder of Art Abstrait in 1952, is known to be a pioneer of the lyric abstraction and tachism in Belgium. As part of the homage exhibition, a monography about Saverys’ work is released.
